EFFECT OF BEVACIZUMAB ON ANGIOGENESIS INTRABECULECTOMY AREA

Objective to examine the effect of Bevacizumab injection angiogenesis which amount and density blood vessel as indicators after trabeculectomy procedure. Method This was a true experimental study using 16 eyes New Zealand White Rabbit eye treated by procedure with eight control group Balanced Saline Solution (BSS) treatment Bevacizumab. It injected subconjuctiva trabeculectomy. At end all rabbits in each sacrified, enucleated bleb area dissected, then processed for histological studies. The were evaluated haematoxyllin eosin methode at day 14 done Result mean 22,63 ± 11,02 14,75 4,92 (p=0.043). 19,10 1,69 % 16,53 2,90 (p=0.029)%. result shows there statistically significant difference between two groups (p<0.05). Conclusion In this subconjunctival reduce compared BSS only, thus it is potential preventing fibrosis
